The album is a fine evolution of where they've gone in the past several years - the band, the production, the fit of everything just meshes in a way that makes everything else work better together and make more sense.
Ivy Silence stretches her distinctive vocals without being strained - I didn't expect this level of depth and evolution at this point after the other albums. Not saying it wasn't right for those songs, but here...she's fluid, surprising, and consistently on point.

This is unexpectedly very Sisters of Mercy-esque. The album definitely grows on you after several listenings. I am really sad this is the last we get to hear from Voe, but at the same time thankful we got to hear it.
